From Reuters. Australian police released Friday a shocking x-ray photo showing the skull of a murdered Chinese immigrant shot 34 times in the head and neck with a high-power nail gun. The body of Chen Liu, 27, was found by two children last year in marshland in south Sydney, wrapped in a carpet and bound with electrical wire. Detectives said the weapon used was a standard gas nail gun widely available and used in construction, firing nails up to 85mm (3.3 inches) long. Super Cop Killer

Gaze into the eyes of the Super Cop-Killer!!! Another officer stabbed in a knife attack at a police station in Shanghai has died, raising the death toll to six. The Shanghai Public Security Bureau says the officer died in hospital late Tuesday, several hours after the attack. Police say an unemployed 28-year-old man stormed the police station and started attacking officers with a knife. Five officers died at the scene and four others, along with a guard, were injured in the attack. The official Xinhua news agency reported that the attacker, only identified by his surname Yang, was carrying a knife, a hammer, a mask, aerosol spray and homemade explosives. Police are still investigating his motive. Yang, who is from Beijing, initially told police he was seeking revenge after officers at the station in Shanghai's Zhabei district investigated him last year for allegedly stealing bicycles. When he reached the gate of the police station, he lobbed eight Molotov cocktails at the entrance, injuring a security guard who tried to stop him. Yang made his way into the building, stabbing four officers he caught by surprise in the guard room. He then forced his way through to the 10th, 11th, and 21st floors of the building, wounding another five officers. He was finally captured by a team of special police on the 21st floor.

A Belgian man appeared in court on Friday after a woman at his dinner party found the bodies of his wife and stepson in the freezer as she put away the leftovers, prosecutors said. The woman went to the police after discovering the 46-year-old woman and her 11-year-old son and officers arrested the man in the town of Verviers, near Liege in east Belgium, on Wednesday. An alternate take on Mr Freeze's origin, in a generally darker reality in the entire multiverse... Ours.

Anyway, I fully concur with Stephen King... "On the whole, I don't think you can pick these guys out based on their work, unless you look for violence unenlivened by any real talent."

Indian Macabre

Indian forensic experts are seeking DNA tests to establish the suspected rape of some 21 people in the country's most macabre serial killings in decades. Officially 21 people, mostly children, were murdered over a period of three years in a stylish bungalow in the northern Indian village of Nithari, but media reports say the toll could exceed 40. House-owner Moninder Singh Pandher and his servant Surender Koli were arrested in December, with Koli also confessing raping his victims and having sex with their bodies. Koli, according to the police, has also confessed trying to eat human organs extracted from the crudely-dissected bodies of the victims. Police say Koli lured children from nearby Nithari, just outside New Delhi, to his master's home, where they were assaulted by both and then cut with "butcher-like precision". Most of the human remains have been found in sewage drains around the house and in the adjacent Noida, an affluent Delhi satellite township of the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

Just in time to coincide with the "Ispwich Ripper"... The face of Jack the Ripper has been pieced together by Scotland Yard experts from evidence left by the Victorian killer. Modern profiling techniques have been used to form the most accurate portrait ever of the murderer, whose identity has remained a mystery for 118 years. The clues also suggest that police at the time were probably searching for the wrong kind of man... Laura Richards, head of analysis at Scotland Yard's violent crime unit, which conducted the study, said: 'For the first time, we are able to understand the kind of person Jack the Ripper was. 'We can name the street where he probably lived, we can see what he looked like and we can explain, finally, why he eluded justice.' Ms Richards and former Metropolitan Police commander John Grieve assembled a team of experts including pathologists, historians and a geographical profiler to see whether the case could be solved. Mr Grieve added: 'This is further than anyone else has got.' 'It would have been enough for coppers to get out and start knocking on doors. They would have got him.' Probably they should try their hands on the latest ripper incarnate.

A convicted Vietnamese robber who escaped from prison 20 years ago chose a sly way to hide from the law -- inside the police force and as a member of the ruling Communist Party. A police newspaper reported Friday that Ngo Thanh Tam, 51, was re-arrested Tuesday, two decades after joining the police under a false identity in the Central Highlands province of Dak Nong. It was unclear how Tam's real identity was discovered. Tam was sentenced to four years in jail in 1984 for a series of robberies, but he escaped from prison in 1986, the newspaper said. In 2003 Tam was promoted to police chief of Dak Ru commune. He had also been elected to the Dakru People's Council for the 2004-2009 tenure. Hell, will Prison Break end in this way?

Police in China are investigating whether the discovery of more than 120 human skulls may be part of a growing trade in macabre handicrafts. The skulls were found last week wrapped in plastic bags and dumped in a ravine on the edge of the Tibetan plateau. All of the skulls were missing their top half, which appeared to have been sawn off. China's media and internet have buzzed with wild speculation about the grizzly discovery in the remote north-west. Are the bags full of sawn-off skulls the gruesome product of a mass murderer or perhaps the detritus of some grim medical experiment? Both have now been ruled out. The most likely answer is, if anything, even more bizarre. Investigators think the skulls are the leftovers from a surging industry in ghoulish handicrafts. The 121 hacked up skulls were dumped close to the borders of Tibet. Ceremonial bowls made from human skulls have a long tradition in some branches of Tibetan Buddhism. The huge growth in tourism to Tibet has apparently led to an equally large increase in demand for Buddhist artefacts. In the markets of Lhasa, bowls made from fake skulls sell for two or three pounds each. But bowls made from genuine human skulls are said to fetch hundreds of pounds. The question that so far no one has been able to answer is where did the skulls come from in the first place, and did their owners die from natural or unnatural causes?
