is a narcissistic agnostic atheist, having sustained a psychological disorder, characterized by self-preoccupation, lack of empathy, and unconscious deficits in self-esteem. He writes and draws comic books, movie screenplays, etc (albeit unpublished) with this secret alter ego, while whoring as a full-time white collar goody two shoes telling people to fuck spider in a polite way. Really.

Finally, a superhero (or in this case, a superheroine) who proudly wear the Singapore flag! Eat yer heart out, Cap! Jenny Quantum, "The Spirit Of 21st Century", is the successor of Jenny Sparks, "The Spirit Of 20th Century", who died on December 31st, 1999, at the turn of the century. Born in Singapore immediately after Sparks (a chain-smoking good ol' brit) sacrificed herself in Warren Ellis's final arc "The Outer Dark", Quantum invited troubles of disastrous measures to her hometown (our friendly neighbourhood garden city) when supervillains (aptly named, The Americans) gained knowledge of her existence. Featuring massive level of destruction done to Singapore previously unseen in comic history (anyway we've only seen the Singapore Branch of The Brotherhood of Evil Mutants in protest of Magneto's trial in Singapore during the "Avengers VS X-Men" arc...which of course wouldn't have happened at all in reality, mutants or no mutant. Singaporean just ain't cut out for protests), the baddies practically clear up our beloved garden city, of which consequence of the battle was never properly told (can't help but wonder about Singapore's existence in the Wildstorm Universe, though pretty sure that Wildstorm's resident "man of steel" Apollo got raped). Surely, if "The Spirit Of 20th Century" was appropriately enough, a tough-as-nails English lady, then probably the no-nonsense, kiasu Singaporean Spirit are one to embrace for the 21st Century. July 19 is the 200th day (201st in leap years) of the year in the Gregorian Calendar, with 165 days remaining. On this day... 1692 - Salem Witch Trials: Sarah Good, Sarah Wildes, Elizabeth Howe, Rebbecca Nourse, and Sussanah Martin are hanged for witchcraft in Salem, Massachusetts. 1862 - Swift-Tuttle Comet is discovered by Horace Tuttle in Massachusetts. It had been independently spotted by Louis Swift in New York three days earlier. It has a 1 in 10,000 chance of colliding with Earth in the year 2126. If this occurs it will probably end civilization. 1947 - Burmese nationalist General Aung San (father of Aung San Suu Kyi) and 6 of his cabinet members were assassinated. The day of his death, 19 July, is celebrated as Martyr's Day (Azani nei) in Myanmar to this day. 1978 - And hell incarnate was thus borne. 1991 - Mike Tyson has sex with 18-year-old beauty pageant contestant Desiree Washington in an Indianapolis hotel room for which he was later convicted of rape.
